Signs Your Dryer Vent Needs Cleaning
I’ve noticed that my clothes take much longer to dry than usual, and sometimes the dryer itself gets very hot. I’ve never really thought about cleaning the dryer vent, but could this be the issue? How often should it be cleaned, and what are the risks if I just ignore it?

Yeah, I’ve heard that clogged vents can cause problems, but I’m not sure how serious it actually is.

Yes, a clogged dryer vent can definitely be the reason why your clothes take longer to dry. Over time, lint and debris build up, restricting airflow and making your dryer work harder. This not only increases energy consumption but also poses a fire hazard. A blocked vent can cause overheating, which may lead to potential fire risks. Experts recommend professional dryer vent cleaning comfortclean.com/dryer-vent-cleaning/ at least once a year to ensure safety and efficiency. Ignoring this maintenance could lead to higher electricity bills, excessive wear on your dryer, and even dangerous carbon monoxide buildup in gas dryers. If you notice any warning signs like excessive heat, burning smells, or lint accumulation, it’s time to get it checked.
